FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES
The building is designed as a series of slabs, connected by the circulation spine. The slabs’ heights, lengths, and positioning create a terraced volume that descends according to the terrain hence reducing the perceived size of the building and relating to the horizontal articulation of the nearby iconic hospital building.
The layout of the building provides quality views, good natural lighting and ventilation, and diverse outdoor spaces.
The facade is articulated as a composition of deep concrete horizontal bands and vertical slats made of natural stone, ensuring effective shading of the facade while allowing long-distance views.
